We inform citizens that it is the will of the Municipal Administration - in light of the presence of buildings which today are in conditions of structural, static and hygienic-sanitary degradation - to carry forward an Urban Project for the regeneration and valorisation of Morro D'Oro and in particular of the Historic Center also through the recovery of the uninhabited and degraded real estate with the aim of revitalizing the center and encouraging new housing developments, tourist-accommodation activities, shops and/or artisan workshops.
The urban recovery and valorization project is pursued through different actions and design strategies.
One of the initiatives that the municipal administration intends to carry forward is called:
“HOUSES FOR 1 EURO IN MORRO D'ORO” and has already been adopted by some Italian municipalities with characteristics similar to ours and which have witnessed over the years a slow depopulation of their villages with consequent abandonment of properties which today are in poor condition. of structural, static and hygienic-sanitary degradation.
In the short term, these properties could be subject to safety measures following an ordinance for public safety or for hygienic-sanitary reasons. The responsible office is already involved in finding and contacting the owners of these properties.
It is therefore the intention of the Municipal Administration to acquire the willingness to transfer from the citizens owners of old properties located in Morro D'Oro for the subsequent and possible recovery and use by private individuals, as well as Agencies and/or Companies (also with charitable purposes) willing to invest in a project for the valorisation and recovery of real estate assets in order to achieve the objectives indicated in the Guidelines.
HOW DOES IT WORK:
the owner/seller of a property in a state of structural deterioration or which he wants to get rid of expresses adhesion to the initiative by declaring willingness and availability (which must remain so for 3 years) to sell the property even at the symbolic price of €1, giving notice written to the Municipality using the appropriate forms (Annex B).
the buyer (natural or legal person) declares an interest in purchasing and renovating the property made available, communicating this to the Municipality using the appropriate forms (Annex C).
